Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Sheffield United (spits) beat Leeds and got the 2nd spot from them...

I hope Leeds come up

Anyway are their any players there who could improve the squad?

Pop

I suggested Bowen at the beginning of this thread

One thing a player needs in the Premiership is pace...this boy has it in spades and his left foot is lethal. I would say he is a bit like a younger version of Jamie Vardy - perfect for hanging on the shoulder of a defender and running into a pass from Lanzini or similar

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
It's certainly a competitive league but the reason for that is that there is no real quality so all the teams are much of a muchness and generally struggle once promoted. Teams like Wolves are the exception but they dominate the Championsip.

Problem is that now the likes of Sky have killed the Premier with their money they are now turning their attention to the Championship and hyping it up as the most competitive and people are being convinced what a great league it is.

Ryan Sessegnon is quite useful and he'll be playing Championship football shortly.

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Its probably the most competitive and even league in football.
11 teams probably still in promotion contention and 6 in relegation trouble.
Millwall are one point above the drop zone btw.

Far more interesting than the same 6 billionaire teams trying to get into the Premier league top 4 AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN.

Shitty league?

It’s incredibly close and competitive in the championship, weird comment

I don't watch this shitty league but there must be a few young players with potential worth keeping an eye on.

Villa are on a run...I suspect they will be the form team going into the play-offs. I can see them doing it.

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
We should break the bank to get Grealish, a proper footballer with bags of talent

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Maddison was the one to get last season rather than the showpony Grealish. As it happens we have Lanzini and Nasri who are streets ahead of both.

Hopefully Ben Johnson will come through next season ,so that may be one full back issue solved

I'm an eternal optimist and choose to believe more of the same this summer as the last. :)

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Barty I can't see us having enough for two full backs never mind the rest, we can always hope but you know what they say about hope

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
But if there is still enough to spend after getting 2 full backs, CM and the strikers then I would be glad to see Grealish here...

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
According to Wiki he´s a winger/attacking midfielder and we have good players in these positions at the moment and I belive a athletic technical centre midfielder is the priority along with the Arnie replacement of course..

Hopefully the 25 million rumoured transfer budget is bullshit,

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Barty in the summer Tottenham were sniffing and bid £25 million but were told no deal so walked away, Grealish fancied the move even though he's a Villa lad, if they stay down I'd offer them the same again to see if there's an interest, he's a top player

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
How much are we talking NB?

North Bank 2:22 Sun Mar 17
Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Jack Grealish is by far the best footballer in the Championship and arguably the only one worth getting, but we don't have the money
